Ava Keyblade WIP

Work-in-progress shots of Foreteller Ava's keyblade. Materials used: fibreboard, wood (to reinforce the handle), EVA foam and Hearty Clay (to give it dimension but keep its weigth reasonable) and crystal resin (which covers the whole thing to make it durable). Each step required hours and hours of sanding...

The fox sigil and the keychain parts were made using a clay and then casted with crystal resin. The Master's eye is printed and covered with a glass lentil (merged using the crystal resin). The keychain is linked with circular metal carabines and is easily removable from the keyblade. The whole thing was painted using Marabu acrylic paints, except the golden parts which were painted using a gilding wax.
